Construction Project Manager

Akkodis is currently looking for a Data Center Construction Manager/Energy Marshall in South Hill, VA/Boydton, VA. An ideal candidate should have previous Data Center or Hyperscale Build Experience.Position Title: Data Center Energy MarshallLocation: South Hill, VA (Onsite)Pay Range: $60-$70/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)Duration: 12 Months Contract Summary:The main function of an energy marshal is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, safety assurance, quality control, and data validation, etc.Job Responsibilities:• Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.• Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.• Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.• Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.• Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.• Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.Skills:• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.• Ability to work independently and manage ones time.• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.• Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.Education/Experience:• Bachelors degree in business administration or a related field.• Electrical Background (inclusive of shop drawing schematics comprehension, one-line design drawing comprehension (mechanical / electrical / controls).• Equipment First Time Energization Background (inclusive of OSHA 30, NFPA70e and LOTO Management).• Previous Data Center or Hyperscale Build Experience preferred.• PMI or PMP certification preferred.• 10+ years experience required.Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, an EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
