This role is critical in setting up, aligning, and securing molds into injection molding machines while ensuring all connections and safety procedures are executed to standard.Key *Operate mold-handling equipment (on-site cane certification provided)Set and secure molds using bolts, toe clamps, and other approved methodsProperly tighten all fasteners using a torque wrench per manufacturer specifications (strict adherence required due to recent safety incidents)Safely swing and position steel molds into machinesUtilize magnetic plates as needed during mold installationConnect utilities *ElectricalWaterHydraulic systemsConduct inspections for correct mold alignment and safety before machine start-upCollaborate with maintenance and production teams during mold changes and troubleshootingFollow all safety policies and procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout protocolsHigh school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training preferred)5 years of Previous experience in mold setup or plastic injection molding highly preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and hand tool proficiency, especially with torque wrenchesBasic knowledge of hydraulic, water, and electrical systemsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in fast-paced, industrial settingsHigh attention to detail and commitment to safetyWork ***Frequent exposure to loud machinery, tools, and temperature variationsStanding, lifting, and bending for extended periods requiredOvertime and shift work may be requiredWhy Join Us?Youll be part of a company that values craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and most importantly—safety.
