Schagrin Home Comfort Products is a 4th generation family-owned local business specializing in propane delivery and the installation and service of gas appliances including standby generators, gas logs and fireplaces, and other comfort and convenience products.ObjectiveTo assist in the credit and collections processes, including monitoring customer past due accounts and assisting customers with account inquiries.Essential DutiesProvide guidance and mentorship to non-senior collections specialists.Responsible for making all 20 day residential calls and send letters.Responsible for collecting all commercial accounts.Process credit bureau’s to establish credit worthiness when required.Handle processing of Energy Assistance.Receive calls from customers that pertain to overdue balances and/or payment terms.Process Ager Report on a daily basis to determine whether customer contact or letters are needed.Responsible for all correspondence, certified mailing, etc. as required.Act as Form 50 representative for the company in legal collections matters.Responsible for collections of Level Payment Accounts 1 payment past due.Pull all requests for copies of delivery tickets or any additional documents requested by customer.Reconcile customer accounts when necessary.Adjust accounts due to payments with insufficient funds and contact various financial institutions to verify funds on return checks.Prepare and review aging report on terminated accounts, send out letters as needed.Manage relationship and correspondence with outside collections agencies.Handle incoming customer service-related calls.Provide back up for Cash Applications duties as needed.Perform any other special duties requested by the CFO.Represent Schagrin Home Comfort Products in a professional and courteous manner and provide excellent customer service at all times.Minimum QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Must have current or previous Form 50 experience representing in courtAbility to understand and follow instructions in EnglishMust have high school diploma or equivalentMinimum 3 years of credit and collections experienceMinimum 6 months of customer service/relations experienceExcellent telephone and communications skillsBasic accounting experienceIntermediate PC experience and knowledge using Microsoft Office programsSchedule RequirementsMust be available to work 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
