A leading provider of power systems services is seeking a Field Service Technician to support commercial and industrial clients with testing, maintenance, and repair of low, medium, and high voltage electrical equipment.This role offers exciting opportunities to work with cutting-edge testing tools and technology alongside experienced industry professionals. Ideal candidates will have strong troubleshooting skills, a solid work ethic, and a passion for delivering top-tier customer service while working independently.Key Responsibilities:Perform testing, inspection, and start-up services for power distribution equipment including switchgear, transformers, relays, cables, and circuit breakers.Execute diagnostic testing and calibration services for electrical components under industry standards (NETA preferred).Conduct tests including:Transformer Testing (Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance)Cable Testing (VLF, Power Factor, Tan Delta, Hipot)Circuit Breaker Testing (Primary & Secondary Injection)Protective Relay Testing (electro-mechanical and digital)Ground Fault, Continuity, and Power Quality TestingTroubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment.Complete preventative and corrective maintenance on-site.Deliver excellent communication to clients, providing detailed reporting on findings and resolutions.Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).Support and contribute to a team environment, assisting peers when needed.Maintain proper documentation for all services performed.Qualifications:Associate degree in Electrical Power Technology or equivalent military training (Army Prime Power, Navy Seabee, or Air Force Electrical Power Production) preferred.1–3+ years of experience testing or maintaining low and medium voltage electrical systems.Familiarity with transformers, relays, circuit breakers, and switchgear is required.NETA Level II or III Certification preferred (or equivalent experience with willingness to pursue certification).PowerDB software experience is a plus.Valid drivers license with a clean driving record and ability to travel.Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and be on-call as needed.Who Thrives in This Role: You’ll be successful in this role if you:Prioritize safety and act with integrity in all work environments.Are a team player with a strong sense of accountability and a customer-first mindset.Bring a solutions-oriented approach and enjoy taking initiative in dynamic situations.Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues.Have a passion for learning and continuous improvement.Why Join Us: This organization is a recognized leader in power system reliability services, offering critical support to a wide range of sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, energy, and municipalities.
