Construction Inspector

This role plays a key part in ensuring all work aligns with design plans, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring solid construction experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork and integrity.Primary **Collaborate with field crews and contractors to ensure construction and utility installations meet established plans and codes.Attend pre-construction meetings to provide input and help align expectations among stakeholders.Review blueprints, technical drawings, and project specs to confirm compliance with ordinances and construction standards.Conduct on-site inspections, identify potential issues (such as drainage concerns), and ensure corrective actions are taken.Inspect construction materials to verify they meet quality standards and project requirements.Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as other departments, to ensure smooth project execution.Complete routine administrative tasks, including preparing reports, updating records, and managing project documentation.Participate in relevant meetings, training sessions, and seminars to stay up to date with best practices and regulations.Be available to work during emergencies or in challenging weather conditions if needed.Review contractor invoices and change order requests, and make informed recommendations for approval.Perform other related duties as assigned to support project success.**At least 4 years of hands-on experience in construction (utility-related work preferred).Valid driver’s license required.Must pass a drug test and background check.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and uphold values of honesty, integrity, teamwork, and commitment.
