Department 3348 - Career and Life Design Center Position Information Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent work experience. • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a technical or data-focused role, with demonstrated experience in systems support, data analysis, and reporting. • Demonstrated ability to learn a variety of technical tools. • Demonstrated ability to document process steps and recommend technology for improvements. • Excellent organizational and analytical skills. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences, develop training materials, and deliver presentations. • Familiarity with current hardware and software applications used in Student Affairs. • Proficient with relational databases and experience with data structures and writing SQL queries. • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Looker). • Experience in supervising, training, or mentoring student employees or interns. Desired Qualifications • Experience providing technology support to staff and faculty in a higher education environment. • Proficient with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, SQL , JavaScript). Position Details Position Purpose To research, implement, support, and maintain Career and Life Design Center systems and software. This role will identify, document, and develop process improvements; supervise student employees; oversee information management solutions; ensure proper training of staff; develop and maintain First-Destination Survey reporting, and ensure data integrity. This position also develops and implements business intelligence initiatives such as complex reports, databases, dashboards, and infographics to support the strategic operations of the Career and Life Design Center.
