Apprentice Press Operator-Omaha, NEThe Omaha World Herald is seeking a Press Operator Apprentice to join our printing team, which prints many Lee Enterprises, Inc. newspapers for the region. This position will learn and perform all aspects of offset printing working on a Man Roland press as well as performing preventative maintenance. This position learns by shadowing various Journey level press operators throughout their apprenticeship. Press Operators are responsible **Fill ink fountainsClean ink fountainsHelp lead webs and sections into the folder.Lift papers from conveyor belts to waste cart, approximately 45 pounds.Clean web detectorsPut plates on pressPull waste during press runs when neededClean and maintain pressesPut on printing blanketsSet rollersIdentify printing defectsReport any maintenance problems to Supervisor and/or ForemanComply with all safety guidelinesOther duties as assignedWhy Lee?Lee Enterprises offers competitive wages in a dynamic, interesting work environment with career growth opportunities.
