Amazons MSP team is looking for a proven technology leader to support the development and scaling of advanced metrics and analytics at Amazon. The Metric Development team manages data-driven decision making and performance measurement systems in Amazons fulfillment network. This position requires the ability to innovate and deliver high-impact, complex, analytical solutions. Key job responsibilities Accountable for the overall metric strategy from conception to implementation. Work closely with stakeholders & customers to achieve the org strategy. Align metric development with product vision, business objectives, ensuring accurate performance measurement Collaborate with various stakeholders, including operations, engineering, and analytics teams, to deliver critical measurement solutions. Provide standardization and consistency for metrics across programs. Responsible for managing the metric development process - including defining measurement frameworks, KPIs, and tracking methodologies. Work with Product to define key performance indicators (KPIs), success criteria, and use data and analytics to validate and refine metrics. Understand the data architecture of the systems you work with (e.g., data sources, pipelines, APIs, statistical methods, reporting tools, and maintenance requirements). You influence team analytical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions. Be a technical problem solver on the team, articulating measurement goals, desired outcomes, statistical challenges, data quality issues, and implementing innovative solutions to analytical roadblocks. Simplify. By applying metric development best practices, you increase the clarity and effectiveness of performance measurement across teams. Mentor and support development of junior team members in data analysis and metric development. About The Team The MSP- Solution Analytics team drives future innovation across all aspects of Customer Fulfillment and Packaging, from advancement of new materials to development of automation utilizing deep analytics and machine learning to determine the smartest, most efficient way to process & deliver customer orders. We drive global partnerships with key stakeholders through metrics such as Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation, World-Wide (WW) Design, etc. to ensure we deliver robust metrics that effectively measure and improve the Amazon Fulfillment network. Basic Qualifications • 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools • Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared) • Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R) Preferred Qualifications • Masters degree, or Advanced technical degree • Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design • Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
