Job Description

The client is seeking a Risk Director to join their team in Anniston, AL. Reporting to the President, the Risk Director will be responsible for managing all legal matters related to patient care and staff issues, as well as identifying and mitigating risks within the hospital. This includes assessing risks in areas such as operations, liability, human resources, and new services, and implementing strategies to safeguard the hospitals operations and reputation. The Risk Director will also oversee the administration of the Risk Management Program, safety issues, and workers compensation prevention programs.Key responsibilities for the role include representing the hospital in legal proceedings, providing executive leadership with updates on emerging risks, administering safety programs, and developing risk management policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree (RN preferred) and 5-7 years of experience in healthcare settings related to risk management, quality improvement, or patient safety. Experience in healthcare leadership roles and certifications such as CPHRM and CPHQ are preferred. The client offers a competitive compensation package based on the candidates experience and skills.
