Job DescriptionTitle: EH & S Coordinator - Project SafetyPioneer the next generation of innovation. Join us and you'll develop your skills and expertise to the very highest levels, working in an international environment for a company known the world over for its brilliance.Position Summary:This HSE coordinator position is responsible for supporting the development of EHS policies and programs, advising and instructing on various safety-related topics, conducting risk assessments, and enforcing preventative measures. They review existing policies and measures, organize OHS training, inspect premises and work activities, investigate incidents, and prepare reports on occurrences. Their role also includes identifying hazards, ensuring compliance with legislation, and promoting a culture of health and safety in the workplace.Key Accountabilities:Support the development of EHS policies and programsAdvise and instruct on various safety-related topics (PPE, operation of machinery, job site safety, risk identification, etc.)Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measuresReview existing policies and measures and update accordinglyInitiate and organize EHS training of employeesInspect job sites and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment, identify safety concerns)Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthyRecord and investigate incidents to determine root causes and preventative measuresPrepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper managementManage field service PPE program and audit team member equipmentAbility to collaborate with supplier and customer HSE personnelOrganize team member required trainings and certificationsOSHA NFPAHigh Voltage CertificationsLOTOConduct routine environmental assessments of sites and provide detailed reports and recommendations for improvements or corrective actions.Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.Perform special projects as requiredBasic Requirements:Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this timeBachelor's degree in Business, Administration, Health Safety or Engineering and 5 years of experience in safety, HSE; or 9 years of safety, HSE experience.Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time domesticallyPreferred Qualifications:Excellent ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulationsExcellent knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA/NFPA) and proceduresExcellent ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsExcellent ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general publicExcellent ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, also to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formExcellent ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and to prioritize accordinglyExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, particularly Microsoft OfficeAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityEH & S experience in one or more of the following industries: Power Generation, Construction, Large GensetsBe a Certified Safety Professional (CSP)Rolls-Royce is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
