Don's Prepared Foods is the leading manufacturer on the East Coast of prepared gourmet deli salads, gourmet cream cheese spreads, dips, entrées and more. Don's is a family-owned business and manufactures over 130 products spanning across its three brands: Don's Salads, Melanie's Medleys and Artisan Deli. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support the QA Department at our Schwenksville, PA food manufacturing plant. This is a full-time hourly position that starts at 4:30AM Monday-Friday. Key Responsibilities: Support the QA and other Production Departments by implementing and monitoring procedures and processes. Duties include but are not limited to: Ensure compliance with food safety programs and verify Don's is meeting or exceeding regulatory and customer requirements.Monitor HACCP CCPs and complete production paperwork, perform daily thermometer and scale calibrations, and ensure all required documentation is accurate, complete, and organized.Perform regular product testing (review products daily, final product temperature, net weights, new item shelf-life, visual inspections, etc.) and swabs for listeria monitoring.Participate in employee training (GMP, HACCP, Allergen Control, Food Safety, SQF). Write and follow up on corrective actions for deviations, discrepancies, sanitation failures, and customer or regulatory requirements.Verify incoming ingredient documentation in accordance with SQF requirements (e.g., lot codes and COAs), track non-conforming ingredients, and organize QA records for customers and retained samples.Support the Sanitation Department:Perform daily pre-operational sanitation inspection by taking APC, ATP, and environmental swabs according to the schedule. Perform Operational Sanitation inspections twice a day by monitoring GMP performance, working with employees to improve product handling, documenting any incidents, and monitoring food safety/allergen storage issues. Identify quality/food safety risks, assist with solutions, and promote proper handling and storage practices.Attend operational meetings as needed and maintain incident logs, documentation, and operational reports.
