Looking for a high energy fresh college graduate or equivalent with little or no experience. This contingent worker is a core resource and entry level position who will be trained by the local DC2 Data Center SME on supporting the sales data center headquarters. Requirements:Good verbal and written communication skills with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Willingness to learn new technologies and document them.Inventory items in the data center and document them.Pleasant professional demeanor, positive attitude and follow directions well.Enforce rules that are explained and raise quickly to DC2 data center SME in the event of lapses.Absolutely essential to approach everything with an IT mindset and not a construction mindset.Desired Skills:Ensure business requirements are met by providing operational support of multiple complex IT production platforms to support the 99.99% data center uptime objective, this includes monitoring the performance, availability, reliability, and security of IT resources.Oversight of data center sourcing vendors staff to support continuous business operations.Data center facilities planning and monitoring operations and maintenance support for electrical, environmental, and mechanical equipment within the corporate data center.Overseeing vendor implementation of electrical, environmental, and mechanical equipment improvements.Ensure that maintenance activities are performed by vendor(s) within manufacturer recommended schedules or within industry standard time intervals.Ensure Request for Change (RFC) procedures for data center facilities service, repairs and improvements are in place before any work is performed. This oversight validates change activity is planned, reviewed, scheduled, and scripted (critical operating equipment only) before any work is performed.Enforcing physical access security policies for restricted data center areas.Experience with Liebert Site Scan, Emerson (Vertiv) Network Power, Computer Room Air Condition (CRAC) units, UPS and generator equipment is a plus.Additional Responsibilities:Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requestedAbout us: OrangePeople is an Enterprise Architecture and Project Management solutions company.
