Nurse Navigator - Oncology (F/T Days)

The Navigator coordinates with an advanced level of clinical expertise, all aspects of treatment and care for, and in collaboration with, Mercy’s patients, their family and significant others, physicians, interdisciplinary team, and other support staff.Position Details:Minimum Qualifications:Education: Graduate from an approved school of nursingExperience: 2 years related experienceLicensure: RN (Registered nurse) licensed in state of practiceCertification(s): BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days of hire is required.Preferred Qualifications:Education: Bachelor of Science NursingExperience:3 years in an oncology setting is preferred.Formal patient education and community educational presentationsSupport group facilitationCertification(s): Certification in Oncology Nursing or Chemotherapy/Biotherapy CertificationPhysical Requirements:• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
