How youll make an impact in this role Ascension Via Christi is seeking a Board Certified Pediatrician to join our Family Medicine Faculty team in Wichita, Kansas. Position Highlights: Flexible scheduling with 0.5 FTE (halftime) to full-time options. Provide high-quality pediatric care while partnering with family medicine residents in an academic teaching environment. Opportunity to provide inpatient newborn care, if desired. One of the largest Family Medicine Residency programs in the nation, known for training physicians who practice full-scope Family Medicine. Responsibilities: Evaluate and treat pediatric patients using appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills; collaborate with care teams to coordinate patient care. Recommend, participates in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients. Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested. Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
