Physical Security Technician

POSITION SUMMARY Under general supervision, the Physical Security Technician carries out detailed instructions, procedures, and tasks primarily oriented to ensure the operational status of security systems. Incumbents at this level have an intermediate level of security experience and are expected to exercise independent judgement and sound decision making. Physical Security Technicians (PST) are responsible for supporting the Physical Security Specialist (PSS) with the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and/or replacement of security equipment, performing site security inspections, and the preventive maintenance needed to keep security systems and equipment fully operational. The PST is expected to represent and enforce the TMWA Security Management Program (SMP) and supporting security policies, procedures, and protocols while working to protect our critical infrastructure.
