Job Description: The Curriculum Designer & Trainer II is responsible for creating, updating and delivering training material for both online and classroom learning. Plan and develop multimedia learning courses for Niagara’s learning management system with the assistance of the training team. Troubleshoot problems with multimedia content developed by less technical members of the Training and Development team. Assist with the development of the video and audio components necessary for creation of learning assets. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accurate content. Evaluate the results of training programs and modify future programs to better meet the needs of the business. Develop and deliver training materials on company processes and products to ensure that team members develop, maintain and increase their own technical and/or process knowledge. Travel to other Niagara facilities and Vendors or Customers as needed to collaborate and support related activities. Requirements: 2 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment 2 Years – Experience in Position 2 Years – Experience managing people/projects 4 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment (Preferred) 4 Years – Experience working in Position (Preferred) 4 Years – Experience managing people/projects (Preferred) Proficiency in, but not limited to: Adult learning methods and pedagogy, Articulate 360 Suite, Vyond, Camtasia, Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint including Microsoft SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite (CS6), specifically In Design, Flash Professional, Captivate, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, After Effects, and Acrobat. Knowledge of the creation and maintenance of wikis. Multimedia skills: Proficient in manipulating and synchronizing audio files for use in e-learning and experience with and willingness to do voice over work. Ability to identify and interpret multimedia design needs and to develop creative and responsive design concepts. General instructional design concepts, with an understanding of how a LMS functions and its role in deploying e-learning courses. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Self-Motivated with a proven record of taking the initiative. Detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to execute tasks in a very dynamic and ever-changing environment.
