Commercial Roofing Estimating Manager

What You Will Be DoingProvide the leadership, guidance, training, controls and monitoring for preconstruction and estimating team to consistently perform pursuit, preconstruction, estimating, and procurement activities.Effectively prepare and communicate in proper written form competitive job estimates by interpreting drawings bid documents performing take-offs for labor equipment and materials.Supervise overall construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design budget and schedule.Adjust budgets approve bills ensure subcontractor payments are made conduct site visitsDetermine training needs for roofing crews; organize and direct needed training in safety quality and customer satisfactionReview and analyze budget reports and prepare and develop budget modifications and recommendationsDocument project discrepancy between budget and actualWilling to learn and teach best practices for roofing installation by fully participating in on-the-job training as well as periodic manufacturer trainingEnsure crews are adhering to OSHA and company safety regulationsWhat You Need for this Position8+ years experience operations and/or estimating with a commercial roofing contractorExperience with Edge Estimating Software a plus Knowledge of various commercial roof system installation and products Ability to identify correct and report unsafe conditions according to company and OSHA standardsKnowledge to inspect and ensure attention to detail and qualityBuild and develop productive working relationships with other department managers and management personnelAble to understand complex problems and make decisions to benefit everyone as much as possibleEmail Your Resume In Word ToLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
