JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.**This position is located at Dugway**Job Summary - Essential Functions/DutiesWorking under the direct supervision of a group lead or higher-level technician, an Electro/Mechanical Tech accepts assignments in the fabrication, testing, analysis, and adjustment of precision electromechanical equipment including analog, digital, incremental, and reduction; applies experience and knowledge of machinery operation, hand tools, housing fabrication, electrical assembly, and hardware; and specializes in complex prototype units.Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:Maintain and operate various electronic equipment, test equipment, and fabrication machineryMake determination as to the limitations of equipment and implement modifications required to satisfy a specific situationReview and evaluate inputs for feasibility before and during tasksFabricate, test, modify, and repair prototype or existing components and subsystemsDevelop testing techniques to assure proper calibration and operation of assigned equipmentConfirm test results of detailed units and their compatibility with other units and coordinate evaluations with engineersParticipate in the development and testing of prototype electronic systems and subsystemsAssist with the development of operational and test procedures and implementation of specific changes with junior staff membersTest units for functional operation of assembled components and record results in specific formatsMaintain adequate supplies, spare parts, and test equipment to obtain maximum utilization of existing systemsAssist engineers with identification of new electro/mechanical requirements for upcoming projectsAssist in the interviewing of potential new job candidates and makes recommendations regarding personnel actions such as hiring and discipline.Assist with the training of new personnelKeep abreast of company engineering and technical practices, policies, techniques, security, and proprietary regulations, and advise junior staff membersKeep abreast of the latest technical developments in the field of electro mechanics and assist with the implementation of new information including future program tasksAssists with the dissemination of approved procedures to junior staff membersMay provide work direction to one or more lower-level electro/mechanical techniciansMay analyze and repair electronic circuitry, printed circuit cards, and electronic control devices using conventional and digital millimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, and transistor testersMay inspect, troubleshoot, and repair uninterrupted power support equipment and automatic start panelsPerform periodic and other inspections as required by applicable maintenance manuals or Air Force Technical Orders (TOs)Perform other job-related duties, as required.Requirements - Education, Technical, And Work ExperienceA graduate certificate from a two-year accredited technical institution, or equivalent, or equivalent training as part of a formal journeyman program and 8 years of experience in a mechanical/electrical position are required for this position.In addition, a Electro/Mechanical Tech must possess the following qualifications:Working knowledge of the technical terminology or language structure related to specific electrical or mechanical equipment used by the work unitThorough knowledge of the electronics and mechanical fieldKnowledge in the proper use of all hand toolsPersonal computer and programming skills and knowledge of applications software and database usageEffective verbal and written communication skillsPlanning/organizational skills.Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision InsuranceBenefits Active on Day 1Life InsuranceHealth Savings Accounts/FSA'sDisability InsurancePaid Time Off401(k) Plan Options with Employer MatchJT4 will match 50%, up to an 8% contribution100% Immediate VestingTuition ReimbursementOther ResponsibilitiesEach employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to their job.WORKING CONDITIONSEmployee will be required to work some shift work and occasional over-night assignments.Work is performed in a field or shop environment in which mechanical equipment is loud and noisy, and some pieces of equipment have exposed, moving components. Duties may be performed both indoors and outdoors. Work outdoors may be in extreme cold and hot conditions. Outdoor duties may be performed on even or uneven surfaces, which may be dry or wet. Outdoor duties may be performed on gravel or shingled roof. Grease or oil may be found on working surfaces. Climbing stairs, ladders, towers, and scaffolds, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, (anything heavier requires two or more people or mechanical assistance) are required. If working in a training capacity, employees must be supervised at all times by a competent trained or certified company employee. Under no circumstances should employees use another employee's equipment without permission from their immediate supervisor or manager.
