Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Trusts and Estates Attorney to join our team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal services to individuals, families, and institutions in the areas of estate planning, administration, and taxation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic group of professionals in a collaborative and client-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEstate Planning: Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives, tailored to the unique needs of clients.Trust Administration: Advise clients on the administration of trusts, including fiduciary duties, compliance with state and federal laws, and resolving disputes.Estate Administration: Guide clients through the probate process, ensuring the efficient and compliant transfer of assets, resolution of creditor claims, and tax matters.Tax Planning and Compliance: Provide advice on estate and gift tax planning, including the preparation of federal and state estate tax returns, as well as strategies to minimize tax liabilities.Dispute Resolution: Represent clients in disputes relating to trusts and estates, including contested wills, trust litigation, and fiduciary breaches.Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing personalized legal guidance to meet their estate planning and wealth preservation goals.Collaboration: Work closely with other practice groups within the firm, such as tax, real estate, and family law, to provide comprehensive solutions for clients.Business Development: Actively participate in business development and marketing efforts to expand the Trusts and Estates practice and establish relationships with potential clients.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in New York. New Jersey is a bonusMinimum of 10 years of experience in Trusts and Estates law, with a strong focus on estate planning, trust administration, and probate law.In-depth knowledge of estate planning techniques, fiduciary responsibilities, tax laws, and probate procedures.Proven experience working with high-net-worth clients and handling complex estate matters.Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in a clear and concise manner.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.A client-centric approach with the ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in complex situations.Why Join Us?
