EXPECTED RESULTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS Safely operate ready-mix truck with timely deliveries and order accuracy Complete routine maintenance of equipment, including reporting minor mechanical issues timely and thorough cleanliness of unit daily Contribute to keeping areas in and around the plant clean and hazard free Comply with BURNCO policies and local, state, and federal regulations including DOT and company driving requirements Complete required paperwork such as proper pre-trip/post-trip inspections (DVIRs) and work orders Escalate concerns to supervisor Cross train as needed Other duties as assigned KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES The primary areas of responsibility include: Understand and Foster Safety Culture Safely Drive and Obey All Traffic Laws Truck Maintenance & Housekeeping REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to maintain proper attendance while working irregular hours, including scheduled Saturdays Ability to work from other BURNCO plants based on business needs Ability to pass PSP, MVR, background check, drug test and physical assessment Ability to manage emotions in stressful or frustrating situations Ability to learn the various ready-mix designs and material components such as admixtures, slump/water ratios, and concrete properties/consistencies Commitment to safety, customer service and teamwork EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 23+ years old with valid CDL license preferred (will accept 18 years old with CDL permit if approved by Colorado General Manager and USA President) 2 years ready-mix or 1-year commercial driving experience FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred PAY RATE $25 and up per hour LOCATION: 48th and Harvest St. Aurora CO TRAVEL REQUIREMENT 100% locally PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly outside and exposed to various weather conditions including hot/cold temperatures and rain/snow conditions. Employee constantly uses eye/hand coordination and near/far vision. Employee frequently stands, walks, sits, climbs, bends, reaches, lifts to 50 lbs, carries up to 50 lbs, utilizes manual dexterity, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, color discernment and requires active hearing/listening. Employee is exposed to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smokes, gasses, fumes and aggregate materials. Required PPE includes safety shoes above ankles, safety vests, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hats. Additional PPE required if performing special jobs.
