In this role, you will:  Assist in running dermatology appointments and support the dermatologist with sedation and anesthesia when needed  Work alongside a two-nurse, one-doctor team, delivering efficient, high-quality patient care  Handle a high volume of client communication, educating pet owners on dermatologic conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care  Perform minimal sedation procedures, such as biopsies and ear flushes, with proper patient monitoring  Maintain infection control protocols, including the appropriate use of PPE when handling potentially infectious cases  Ensure a clean, organized work environment, including proper sterilization of equipment and compliance with safety standards  Collaborate with a dynamic, fast-paced team, sharing ideas to improve workflow and patient outcomes  We don't just get through the workday; we embrace the challenges and triumphs that come with providing advanced critical care. We genuinely love what we do and welcome the chance to share our passion with you!  Requirements What We're Looking For We're seeking Veterinary Technicians who thrive when caring for animals, solving problems under pressure, and working collaboratively. Our ideal candidate has:  2+ years of experience in a high-volume emergency or ICU setting (preferred)   Experience with advanced monitoring, ventilator support, and critical patient stabilization  CVT license (a plus)  Proficiency in anesthesia, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement  Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate and provide empathetic client updates  Broad knowledge base of small animal medicine  A commitment to exceptional client service and clear, empathetic communication  The ability to work independently while remaining an invaluable part of the team  If you're ready to grow your skills, make a genuine difference, and work alongside people who share your passion for exceptional veterinary care, then this is your invitation to join Metropolitan Veterinary Associates.
