Founding AI Engineer (LLM)

Summary:Newly-funded seed startup (valued $100M+) is looking to hire a Founding AI Engineer. Our target profile will have 5+ years industry experience as Back-End/Infra/ML Ops Engineer with 1+ years hands-on engineering experience in Generative AI production environments (e.g., RAG, few-shot examples, fine tuning, prompt tuning, agentic workflows, LLM evals, etc.) with demonstrated skills in the following core responsibilities:Applying LLMs as reasoning engines to domain-specific problems to provide value to a customerEvaluating and improving end-to end accuracy and latency of AI agentsCreating and enhancing prompts, incorporating best practicesBuilding and maintaining systems that handle passing data between LLMs and databasesOptimizing LLM call spend and performanceAbout Us:Greylock is an early-stage investor in hundreds of remarkable companies including Airbnb, LinkedIn, Dropbox, Workday, Cloudera, Facebook, Instagram, Roblox, Coinbase, Palo Alto Networks, among others.
