Employee Benefits AttorneyPosition OverviewWe are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Employee Benefits Attorney to join our team in one of 3 NY offices. The successful candidate will provide legal expertise in the areas of employee benefits, ERISA compliance, and regulatory matters. This role is essential in ensuring that our organization adheres to all relevant laws and regulations governing employee benefits and compensation.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on legal issues related to employee benefits, including retirement plans, welfare benefits, and fringe benefits.Draft and review plan documents, summaries, and other compliance-related materials to ensure adherence to ERISA regulations.Conduct legal research and analysis on employee benefits laws to provide informed recommendations.Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.Represent clients in negotiations and disputes related to employee benefits and compensation matters.Provide training and guidance to HR and management on employee benefits-related legal issues and best practices.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) Active license to practice law in the state of New York4+ years of experience practicing employee benefits law, with a focus on ERISA and compliance.Strong understanding of employee benefits regulations and laws, including retirement and welfare benefits.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.Proven ability to work collaboratively with clients and other stakeholders.BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary for this position, ranging between $120,000 -$170,000 annually. We offer Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K plans. We have an annual standard of 1800 billable hours with 50 hours of pro bono service(treated as billable).
