HVAC Technician

Shift - Wednesday to Saturday, Day Shift, OT as neededWhat this job involves - The Maintenance Technician is in charge of performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Their duties include fixing machinery, plumbing, heating and wiring, inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards and scheduling major repairs with the building's inhabitants.What is the day to day?Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs and potential issuesPerform preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipmentRespond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations Troubleshoot and repair various building systems and equipmentMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventoryEnsure compliance with safety regulations and building codesCollaborate with other team members and external contractors as neededAssist in the implementation of energy efficiency initiativesParticipate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards and new technologiesDesired experience or technical skills -RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience in building maintenance or a related fieldStrong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbingProficiency in using hand and power toolsBasic computer skills for maintenance management systemsValid driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprintsStrong problem-solving and communication skillsFlexibility to work overtime, as needed, including, evenings, weekends, and on-call rotationsPreferredTechnical school certification preferredFamiliar using CMMS (computer maintenance management system)EPA Universal#HVACjobs
