Reporting to the Director, Human Resources for the Fireplace Business Unit, this role plays an important role in partnering with the business to align HR strategies with business goals. We are looking for a hands-on HR professional who can be both strategic and operational, and has an ability to build strong relationships with business leaders as a trusted advisor, problem solver, and partner.What you will do: Develop strong relationships with the leaders you support. Position yourself as a credible HR Business Partner with the sales, marketing, product, finance, and manufacturing teams. Spend time building relationships and understanding the business.Help influence strategic decisions at the leadership level and recommend HR solutions tailored to specific business needs. Champion employee engagement. Understand process and inspire business leaders to successfully drive action plans to improve member engagement and retain members. Provide development coaching for exempt and non-exempt employees.Partner with HR and business leaders to help resolve immediate member relations issues and common HR related member questions/needs.Use HR data and judgment to provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions.Effectively utilize various HR tools & processes to support leadership in managing talent to improve business results.Understand the Point of View for the processes managed by HR (Talent Acquisition, Engagement, Development, Performance Management, Workforce Planning, and Compliance/Risk Management) and effectively execute the right levers to meet business needs. In partnership with talent acquisition, facilitate recruitment and on-boarding of new employees and ensure successful integration into the work group.Identify member training and development opportunities which will positively impact key performance metrics.Actively participate in various HR project teams from concept through results to define, create, implement and measure, to deliver high-impact solutions.Implement the organization's Diversity & Inclusion strategic initiatives including facilitating, knowledge sharing of best practices, communication, and training within the business partner group.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience 5 or more years of progressive Human Resources experience; demonstrated success in a HR Business Partner capacity preferredDemonstrated strong business acumen, leadership capabilities, willingness to be flexible and adaptable, strong customer focus and collaboration, and analytical proficiencyAbility to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using research and judgement that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law and to objectively coach employees and leaders through these situationsWorking knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational design, employee relations, performance management, and employment law Experience in an Applicant Tracking System, I9 software, Timekeeping System, and HRIS systems Background in FMLA, employment law, and with other government compliance regulationsAbility to develop relationships with local and remote client groups and influence without authorityAbility to organize and prioritize work with a strong attention to detail Experience providing human resources support across a geographically diverse employee group for exempt and non-exempt employeesPHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferredManufacturing industry experience preferred
