Process Technician

Job Summary:The Process Technician will be responsible for machine performance as it relates to quality and production rates through inspections, preventative maintenance, and projects.Duties/Responsibilities:Performs inspections and service on equipment to ensure optimal performance.Diagnoses equipment failure to both repair the equipment and implement preventative measures to reduce risk in the future.Logs asset performance (downtime, rates and costs), including documentation of repairs and service.Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.Completes project work on automation equipment as assigned.Request needed replacement parts for machines.Monitors the processes within the plant and offers suggestions on improving the flow and/or rate.Engages plant leadership to ensure equipment runs effectively and efficiently.Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.Works well independently and with others.Good communication skills.Organized with attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.Basic understanding of automation equipment.Basic computer skills required including working with tablets for maintenance software.Ability to learn industrial controls programming.Ability to learn and understand automation control documentation such as electrical and mechanical drawings.Electrical knowledge is a plusEducation and Experience:2+ Years Maintenance ExperiencePhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods standing and walking.Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.Must be able to visually inspect machines.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.25% of the time working on a computer.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shift M - THDay shiftWork Location: In person
