There are also residency programs throughout our hospitals and clinics actively training the medical leaders of the future.Learn About a Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant: ResponsibilitiesThis position will assist in the supervisor of work and performance of clinical medical assistants, to include providing input towards performance reviews and corrective action plans if needed. It will oversee and train new and existing staff along with the assistance of the RN Manager. This role will also perform the responsibilities of a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant such as: Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician. QualificationsJob Requirements: High School diploma or equivalentGraduate from an accredited Certified Medical Assistant ProgramBLS required within 30 days of hireAt least one year of supervisory experience in a clinical settingCertification: Required
