Description Our customer is the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This position directly supports the DISA-provided GIG capabilities and services in the 24x7 DISA Global Field Command (DGFC). The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector and Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) have an opening for a Transport/IP (TRIP) Subject Matter Expert / Team Lead at Scott AFB, IL.**Our anticipated salary range for this role is $110,000 - $120,000**Primary Responsibilities:•Oversee all contractor support staff and operations for the Transport/IP (TRIP) Subject Matter Expert group located at Scott AFB.• Execute network operations to include configuration and analysis of customer circuits across optical and electro-optical multiplexers, routers, and switches.• Perform real-time circuit redesign (alternate routing) to restore customer connectivity during scheduled and unscheduled outages and maintenance actions.• Work directly with customers, stakeholders, and leaders internal and external to the organization across multiple areas to develop and/or improve solutions and processes pertaining to DISA Infrastructure (DISN) operations.•Assign tasks to contractor personnel supervising on-going technical efforts, and managing contract performance identified by the customer.•Proactively monitor network alarms across platform specific network management tools.•Utilize incident management applications to document all aspects of reported outages/degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions during the lifecycle of a service impacting network incident. • Assess, identify and recommend resolutions to various network incidents and/or deficiencies leveraging knowledge in one or more of following: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, optical transport network, MPLS, time division multiplexing, SDH/SONET.Basic Qualifications:•Requires BS degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience (Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.). May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.•Prior experience overseeing staff and diverse technologies to include NOC Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, and Network Engineers 24x7x365.•Hold DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start date.•Able to work in a 24x7 shift work environment.•Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility • Possess expert level knowledge and understanding of both Transport and IP network topologies.Preferred Qualifications: •Tech control facility or cyber transport experience•Circuit actions and commercial vendor (CVN) experience•IP and Transport architecture experience• Telco NOC, inside or outside plant experience.•Experience with MS Office suite, i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, TEAMs.•Knowledge and experience with two or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN/WAN maintenance, performance management, change management.•Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, CISCO, Juniper, DISN Core.Original Posting:April 30, 2025For U.S. Positions: While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
