In this role, customer satisfaction is a priority as it is critical to the success of the business. This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating freight and supply logistics, shipping routes, and delivery to maximize efficiency and ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, responding immediately to customer questions and complaints, and notifying them of any delays in the delivery schedule is essential to this position.Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 annuallyWhat you will doThis is NOT a desk job! This is an active part of ensuring accuracy, and safety in everything our drivers do!Operate safely.Dispatching.Load assignments for drivers and delivery helpers.Schedule transfers.Communicate with sales team, drivers and customers regarding delivery functions or issues.Monitor metrics and error tracking.Provides excellent customer service.Fleet management.Driver file monitoring.Train and coach employees regarding safety and efficiency.Assist with checking out drivers, scheduling delivery changes, and DOT administrative tasks.Evaluate and identify methods and procedures to optimize and streamline production processes.Coordinate the use of outside trucks, trailers and transportation services, as needed.Participate in and complete assigned trainings.Administer all phases of time clock management.Maintain invoice records, post corrections, maintain filing system.Comply with all company policies and guidelines.Criteria for Supervisor:Supervise 10 or more associates (direct & indirect reports)Budgeting responsibilities (may or may not have full P&L accountability)Hire/fire authorityGoal setting & communication (directly or relaying from management)Provide performance feedbackRequired For All JobsPerform other duties as assigned.Comply with all policies and standards.Adheres to Company's commitment to workplace safety.Education QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent education and experience required.Experience Qualifications2+ years of leadership experience / Building materials preferred.2+ years DOT Experience - preferred last mile asset-based logisticsFleet Maintenance experience is a plus.Skills and AbilitiesStrong administrative skills.Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills.Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems.Good organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.Knowledge of supply management principles and practices.Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, GPS and other necessary business applications.)Excellent teamwork & customer relationships.Demonstration of leadership (all required):Mentor new associatesWillingness to train othersSafety committee engagementParticipation in US1 Continuous Improvement ProjectsArrow Building Center, Lampert Lumber and Lyman Lumber Companies, divisions of US LBM Holdings, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
