This position is to be located at a General Industrial manufacturing location in The United States, (Covington, GA, Charlotte, NC, Grove City, OH, Arlington, TX). Supporting the Performance Coatings Group General Industrial Powder organization. This high exposure position will have interaction with Quality, Technical, Marketing, Operations, Accounting, and Sales teams to improve quality, lead high impact projects, interface with sales and technical teams to meet the business needs of strategic customers, support and lead Accelerated Root Cause investigations, and help identify key areas of opportunity for the business. Lead strategic planning for General Industrial regarding compiling, analyzing and execution to voice of the customer as it relates to our Powder business Strategic planning for future expansion required organizationally and structurally, prioritization of Customer facing related quality tasks such as Claims, Complaints, Customer Certifications and Customer High Impact Teams Lead strategic planning for new test method development in General Industrial by identifying existing risk through claims and customer complaints while managing Market expectations Lead data analysis within General Industrial for powder complaints, scale up products, innovation projects and overall CTQ KPIs Supports projects, investigations, etc by completing complex data analysis and helping set up data collection in order to complete Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Modeling, Mixture DOE, Nested DOE, and high fraction DOE. Utilize ARC 301 tools to help the team solve problems such as Kepner Tregoe tools (situational assessment, etc.) Owns the validity of the data analysis, searched for other opportunities to improve the data or the problem. Extreme ownership of solving the problem with data. Drive compliance and assist in updating Quality standards focused on Technical or Business processes Lead and or participate in complex quality investigations to determine root cause that are customer and/or technical facing. Will step up and lead investigations that are borderline of ownership when needed. Lead advanced testing facility in organizational needs, capital development, and overall strategic vision. Primary data analyzer for complex complaints that elevate past Define and Stabilize, meet the threshold criteria of ARC, or are being requested by a leadership position. Key customer and internal contact for Quality Customer Centric programs and meetings. Includes High Impact leaders, Quarterly Customer Continuous Improvement meetings, etc. Be the key contributor on providing Quality data to the customer along with clearly articulating RCCA and analysis that lead to conclusions on complex problems. Perform effective data analysis to support complex investigations. Data analysis must be presented in a way that all can interpret it easily to drive to the correct conclusion internally and externally. Develop Technical or Customer facing standard operating procedures and provide training to site personnel to ensure procedures are followed. Work closely with the Operations Manager to support necessary quality practices and procedures directly affecting the customers. Actively participate in Customer and Technical facing Regional and Divisional quality and continuous improvement efforts. Be key owner of Quality data integrity and develop the ability to pull meaningful actionable items out of the data. Participate or be a key contributor in global projects. Lead key divisional projects to improve quality across 2 or more sites. Utilizes customer data and helps them analyze and solve complex customer line problems as requested. Provide training on customer complaint tracking systems and quality programs as needed. Be key owner of Quality data integrity and develop the ability to pull meaningful actionable items out of the data. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and prioritize appropriately. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status). Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Must have at least 8 - 11 years of experience in coatings products development, Operations, Quality, Technical, or Sales Flexible work schedule to adapt prioritization changes and needs Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to lead a cross functional team to a successful outcome Presentations skills Program knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access, Minitab Demonstrated success in leading Root Cause investigations and analysis tools Previous direct customer interaction Six Sigma Green Belt Knowledge of more complex problem solving and error proofing skills Demonstrated problem solving, project, and program management skills for the complex issues. Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to determine the difference between colors so you can correctly tint paint to the colors desired by customers. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Majors in Chemistry, Engineering or a related field Program knowledge of Business Objects System knowledge of Watson, MES, Product Vision, Discovery, and MES Previous international engagements for work Travel Requirements: 30% Domestic and International
