Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Licensed Land Surveyor to complement our Civil Engineering Department. Elevating the project experience, we collaborate closely with architects and builders to seamlessly integrate innovative engineering solutions into stunning, one-of-a-kind residences. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProject management, including scope and schedule, of small to moderate land survey projectsAnalysis and interpretation of public records including deeds, subdivision maps, plans, C&R's, and other relevant documentsPerform necessary field work and train junior field crew membersAbility to keep accurate records, field notes, and sketches for work performedPerformance of surveying calculationsAbility to review and certify work of other staff members with a high-level of precision and accuracyManage quality control of all survey deliverables and coordination with Civil Engineering team membersMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma requiredBachelor's degree in survey engineering, geomatics, GIS, Engineering, or related field preferred5+ years of professional land surveying/geomatics experience including management of projects requiredMust be a licensed New York State land surveyorWorking knowledge of current industry software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D requiredExperience with surveying instrumentation including GPS, robotic instruments, remote sensing UAV's and LiDAR preferredProficiency in all aspects of land surveying including boundary lines/title, topographical, as well as construction stakeoutsDeep understanding of local zoning and subdivision regulations preferred.For required field work, the ability to walk long distances in all weather and terrainBenefits OfferedPerformance Based Compensation (PBC) Plan: In addition to annual discretionary bonus, provides opportunity for increased compensation based on value of work completedWork from home friendly - opportunity to earn regularly scheduled work from home dayMedical, dental, vision insurance401K Plan: Company matches up to 4% of annual salary15 PTO days in the first year of employmentKitchen fully stocked with breakfast foods, snacks, and drinks.
