This role provides a flexible hybrid work model, ensuring a balance between on-site collaboration and remote work.Your Role as an Associate Medical Director: In this vital role, you will lead the medical direction of our hospice care team. Please note: The schedule expectations for this role requires in person, patient care at our inpatient hospice house.Your responsibilities will include:Ensuring the evaluation and certification of terminal illnesses, including recertificationMaintaining accurate documentation supporting hospice eligibilityActively participating in weekly interdisciplinary group meetings for holistic care coordinationAssisting in new admissions and supporting the interdisciplinary teamsParticipating in inpatient care at Bruns House and other settings, including night and weekend on-call dutiesEngaging in community-based outpatient careServing as a back-up to the Hospice Medical DirectorWho We're Looking For: We seek a compassionate and skilled professional with:Fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Care, or eligibility for Hospice Medical Director certification within two years of employmentA valid medical license and DEA license in California, with favorable referencesA collaborative spirit and commitment to working with our hospice team, volunteers, and communityA passion for continuous learning and professional developmentBenefits of Joining Us:Competitive starting salary of $10,000-$12,000 per month, with potential for additional incomeFlexible working hours (24 hours per week on average)CME allowance to support professional growthA supportive, compassionate team that fosters innovation and collaborationIf you are passionate about making a meaningful impact on others' lives and are ready to join a team committed to excellence in hospice care, we would love to hear from you.
