What we are looking for in YOU: Attention to detail is essential for consistent accuracy in handling technical details in a document. Must be able to gather data and draw valid conclusions from cause-and-effect relationships. This is useful in getting to the true fact of a case. Interpersonal skills to effectively build and manage internal and external relationships. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily deadlines for projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills to inform managers and other stakeholders of results. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and other analysis programs. Presentation skills, including public speaking and presentation creation using PowerPoint or a similar program. Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data. Education and experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or similar required. In lieu of a degree: 2 years of experience in Risk Management or Safety or 4 years of experience in a related field such as Construction Management or Operations Management or another equivalent combination of education and experience General insurance experience in relation to the overall business, including the sources of risk and potential options for mitigation, including the ability to perform financial analysis, preferred. 2+ years working with remote profit center managers to support corporate goals preferred. Knowledge of safety, insurance, workers' compensation, and claims management preferred. A day in the life: Responsible for the independent contractor agreement and the certificate of insurance process, ensuring subcontractor compliance in alignment with company standards. Serve as the primary contact for field offices, insurance carriers, brokers, legal, and contractors to ensure a smooth qualification/requalification process. Provide timely and accurate responses to data requests and inquiries regarding insurance and contractor qualification. Stay abreast of insurance industry standards, policies, changes, and news. Analyze data to better understand potential risks, concerns, and outcomes of decisions. Problem solve and resolve all discrepancies that arise as a result of risk analyses. Create reports, summaries, presentations, and process documents to display results. Collaborate with other team members to effectively analyze and present data. Any other duties assigned by management.
