RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform daily startup and periodic inspections of lifts in winter and summerAssist in performing in-service and after-hours maintenance and repairsParticipate in safety and equipment trainingMaintain clean workspaces and equipmentParticipate in daily morning briefingsEnsure timely and accurate completion of required records and logsPerform all routine mechanical inspections on liftsOther duties as assigned, potentially assist other Mountain Operations and Resort departmentQUALIFICATIONS: At least 18 years oldProvide personal hand, power, and electrical toolsAbility to climb lift terminal stairs and tower laddersStrong skiing abilityAccept direction and instruction readilyAbility to lift and position heavy components 50 pounds or greater, in mountainous terrain as requiredAbility to work effectively with other lift technicians and other Deer Valley staffAbility to work in extreme weather, at heights, or carry heavy equipment in mountainous areasAbility to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsAbility to always maintain a positive and helpful attitude toward our guestsBASIC WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF: Lift theory, operation, and practiceOperational requirements and problemsMechanical, electro-mechanical, and hydraulic systemsElectrical AC/DC circuits, DC power supplies and batteriesAC and DC motor theory, operation, and maintenanceInterpretation of technical manuals, blueprints, and schematicsAll applicable rules, regulations, and governing codes including ANSI B77.1Troubleshooting and repair techniquesUse of DMM in troubleshooting electrical circuitsRoutine mechanical inspections of liftsSafe operation of snowmobiles and other company equipmentDATES OF EMPLOYMENT: Year RoundPAY RATE: Pay: $21-25 DOEDeer Valley Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer
