Come join us at ChristianaCare!The Environmental Services Operations Department is searching for an experienced Environmental Services Operations Manager for the Wilmington Campus to plan, organize, implement and control work activities of department personnel to provide a clean, attractive, safe environment on the ChristianaCare Wilmington Campus.The successful candidate will have at least three to five years' experience working in a large, progressive housekeeping management position; with demonstrated success improving departmental operations and promoting Caregiver and patient satisfaction.Additionally, the candidate will possess effective verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to build relationships with all levels of hospital personnel, vendors and contractors.Additional Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in on-site visits by regulatory agencies as scheduled. Remain up to date on environmental matters.Supervise and direct assigned staff including interviewing and hiring new staff, evaluating work performance, coaching and disciplining Ensure employee relations matters are conducted in a fair, even-handed manner consistent with Christiana Care's policies.Conduct training sessions covering specified areas of the training education program: Work Skills, Leadership Skills, Working Relationships, Personal Growth, Problem Solving, Conflict Resolution, and Customer Service to improve employee performance.Ensure that the Environmental Services Department is in compliance with CDC, JCAHO, EPA, OSHA and other relevant Ensures housekeeping equipment is properly maintained.Develop the department annual operating and capital budgets to include personnel, equipment, material, engineering services and project needs.
