Check out our link to our awesome benefits - Johns Hopkins Benefits Enrollment | Your benefits virtually () Position Summary: The Salon Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the Claudia Mayer / Tine Broccolino Cancer Resource Center CMTBCRC salon under supervision from the Center manager. Included but not limited to conducting wig/alternative hair solution consultations and sales, providing haircuts, head shaves, styling and color and works with the Center manager to order inventory from vendors. The salon coordinator must provide an excellent patient experience, generate revenue that covers the cost associated with running the salon as well as strive to increase revenue to contribute to the Center's philanthropic initiatives. The Salon coordinator must possess the ability to focus and work efficiently with regular and frequent interruptions to workflow. Shift: This position is a PRN (Based on the need of the Dept) position, which would fill our current need for about two client facing days a week/8 hours each day on average. The two days in the salon can be flexible amongst weekdays, but the salon is closed on weekends. The hours would average around an 8:30am - 5pm time frame Location: Howard County Medical Center, 5755 Cedar Lane, Columbia, MD 21044 Education/ Experience High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) Four years of progressive experience Preferred experience: work within a salon environment and perform wig fittings Licenses & Certifications Cosmetology License Required required by HCGH or for regulatory compliance Salary Range: Minimum 16.40/hour - Maximum 27.09/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
