Description Leidos is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team.In this role you will support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Eastern Service Area (ESA) supporting the implementation of critical power systems in air traffic control facilities over the geographic scope of the ESA.This role can be located in the College Park, GA area OR the Jamaica NY area. Includes up to 25% travel. Electronics Engineer Primary Responsibilities: Perform site surveys to analyze equipment load distribution within the facility and recommend changes to separate circuits to increase systems availabilityProvide this data and recommendations to electrical design engineers and work with them to resolve issuesWork with the design team to help create phasing plans for project implementation to mitigate impact to the facilityDiscuss phasing plans with local TechOps and Air Traffic personnel to foster understanding and address their concernsParticipate in on-site meetings prior to and during construction to ensure plan is workingParticipate in post-completion reviewUtilize relevant software tools to assist in analysis and designGenerate sketches showing relation of proposed work in existing or new facilities with specifications and dimensionsPlan, schedule, and coordinate construction project activities to meet milestones and deadlines working directly with stakeholders and contractorsConfer with multi-disciplinary engineering staff and other personnel to identify and resolve problems with the design or implementationReview contractor design and construction submittalsPerform project management related tasks and communication (including safety plans, sequence of work, cutover plans, risk management plans, lead and asbestos work permits)Participate in on-site coordination meetings, inspections, cutovers, testing and restoration of facilitiesProvide periodic updates of project to team, management, and stakeholdersProvide timely responses for requests for information and project related submittalsProvide monthly and semi-annual work status reportsTrack and reconcile closure of project punch-list exceptionsManage multiple projects towards successful on-time completionPerform internal design reviews of other projectsElectronics Engineer Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a four year ABET accredited college or university and 8+ years of relevant experience in commercial, industrial or government facility establishment, replacement and modernization design engineering OR a Masters and 6+ years of relevant experienceCurrent and relevant knowledge of building and other codes in order to perform load calculations, wiring sizing and layout, arc flash calculations and distribution, breaker coordination and equipment sizing and selectionAbility to manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines through to completionAbility to provide technical assistance and recommendations regarding the closure of punchlist itemsAbility to conduct efficient, organized data gathering and data analysisAbility to develop project plans, establish project schedules, project estimatesAbility to accomplish clear and concise general and technical writing and tactfully coordinate with a variety of project stakeholders, peers and management levelsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products, engineering scheduling tools and applications, and be able to use the internet as an information gathering and communicating toolAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writingAbility to obtain a Public Trust SuitabilityOriginal Posting:May 1, 2025For U.S. Positions: While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
