Overview: The Sr. Director of Business Development is responsible for the development of new business contacts, managing and maintaining existing customer relations, contacts, and sales in the fields of Oil & Gas, Power, Manufacturing, Cement, Mining.Location: This is a remote position, which can be based anywhere in the U.S. This position supports our business across the United States. This position will have up to 50% travel to regional office locations. This role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and vehicle allowance. Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Identify, develop and lead sales opportunities through industry research, calls to clients, media, site visits and attending trade shows and conventionsObtain a deep knowledge of and experience with owners, developers, architects and other decision makers in target marketsBuild rapport with a network of contactsWork closely with Vice Presidents, Estimating Directors and Project Managers on business leadsWork with department VP to establish company budget/sales goalsPre-qualify MIC for project opportunitiesObserve applicable current events, business trends and activity of competitors in order to gain information to make good business decisions and improve our strategyCoordinate proposals, correspondence letters and respond to RFP'sDevelop and maintain a database for potential client and project opportunities using the Salesforce CRMDevelop an understanding of the client's goals, needs and concerns and clearly communicate this to Estimating Director (s) to assure we submit responsive bids and increase our chances of receiving contract awardsEstablish marketing goals to ensure market share and profitability of products and/or servicesManage monthly and annual marketing budgetsManage and execute marketing plans and programs, both short- and long-range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of Company products and/or servicesCommunicate marketing efforts to all Company employeesSeek out and use industry sources and consumer informationDevelop surveys and other marketing toolsTrack marketing results so objectives are achieved within designated budgetsTravel to various client locations on a regular basisManage, lead direct reports, and mentor. SUPERVISORY: Must be able to direct, manage, and lead multiple director reports throughout the department. Qualifications: EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:BS/BA degree in Marketing, Construction Management or a Business-related fieldTen (10) years in direct marketing/sales of construction-related services preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.Set a personal example of safe behavior.Possess strong communication, presentation and negotiation skillsExcellent computer skillsAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentWork well under pressure, and ability to meet timelines and deadlinesWork well independentlyMaintain a positive attitude while working with MIC team members and customers.Read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documentsRespond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business communityEffectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directorsCalculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volumeSolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variablesInterpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule formOther may duties may be assigned PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires prolonged sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
