Position Overview: We are looking for a qualified Attorney Bankruptcy with experience in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to clients and colleagues throughout the bankruptcy process. Remote opportunity for the right candidate!Would consider out of state candidates so long as open to getting CA barred and open to moving closer to Newport Beach, CAKey ResponsibilitiesResearch relevant case law to support any legal actions related to bankruptcy proceedingsAdvise clients on bankruptcy issues, including debt restructuring, asset protection, repayment plans, and other bankruptcy-related mattersWork with bankruptcy trustees and creditors to negotiate potential settlementsPrepare a variety of documents related to bankruptcy, including motions, petitions, and court ordersAttend court proceedings and meetings with clients, creditors, and other attorneysMonitor changes in bankruptcy laws and regulationsQualificationsJuris Doctorate degree from an accredited law schoolMUST be barred in California currentDebtor side experience mainly in insolvency and reorganization is a MUST2+ years of experience as an Attorney Bankruptcy in a professional settingKnowledge of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedingsExcellent legal research and writing skillsStrong knowledge of local, state, and federal bankruptcy lawsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsBenefitsColorado employees will receive paid sick leave.
