We are looking for a dedicated AVP Internal Control and Data Governance like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsThe AVP - Internal Control & Data Governance provides strategic direction and oversight for enterprise-wide data governance, master file management, and system optimization in support of sourcing, procurement, warehouse/hospital inventory management, patient accounting, and accounts payable activities. This leader is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive data governance strategies while ensuring data integrity across the HCA's "SMART" MMIS platform and related systems. The role combines deep supply chain expertise with strategic data management to drive operational excellence and innovation.What you will do in this role includes:Data Governance & System LeadershipDirect and oversee enterprise-wide data governance strategy, including establishment of data quality metrics, validation rules, and data standardsLead master file management and data integrity programs across item masters, vendor files, and related databasesDevelop and maintain comprehensive data quality frameworks and monitoring systemsEstablish and enforce standard operating procedures for data validation, particularly in EDI/XML transfers and automated data exchangesCreate and oversee protocols for exception handling in automated data exchangesDrive the development of governance frameworks for price and contract loading accuracyStrategic Planning & InnovationIdentify and assess opportunities for AI/ML implementation across supply chain operations, including:Inventory optimization and demand forecastingAutomated vendor matching and validationPurchase pattern analysis and anomaly detectionMaster data deduplication and standardizationPredictive maintenance and supply chain risk managementCollaborate with IT teams to evaluate and implement identified AI/ML opportunitiesLead the strategic roadmap for HCA's SMART MMIS enhancement and optimizationPartner with executive leadership to align data governance initiatives with organizational objectivesCross-Functional Leadership & IntegrationOversee the integration and data synchronization between item master, chargemaster, and revenue cycle systemsEnsure compliance with data governance policies across all integrated systemsCollaborate with Clinical Informatics, Revenue Cycle, Supply Chain, and Analytics teams to optimize data flow and integrityMaintain strategic partnerships with warehouse/facility operations, procure-to-pay, GPO standardization, and sourcing departmentsLead implementation of supply chain systems for new facilities, including development of data migration standards and automated validation processesTechnical Operations & StandardsDemonstrate comprehensive understanding of EDI and data transfer protocols for:Item master updatesPurchase order transmissionInvoice processingContract and price loadingOptimize automated processes for invoicing, ordering, and vendor managementDevelop and maintain documentation for technical processes and governance frameworksEnsure compliance with all internal control and legal policiesTeam Leadership & DevelopmentBuild and lead high-performing teams across data governance and internal control functionsDevelop training programs and materials for system users across the organizationFoster a culture of continuous improvement and innovationMentor team members in both technical and leadership skillsWhat qualifications you will need:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain or similar field.12+ years of supply chain experience in a progressive and integrated material management environmentDemonstrated experience in healthcare supply chain operations:  Strong understanding of data governance principles and master data management; Experience with EDI and automated data exchange processes; Excellence in cross-functional leadership and stakeholder managementMaster's degree in related fieldExperience with AI/ML implementation in business operations:  Background in data architecture or data science; Healthcare chargemaster management experience; Certification in data governance or supply chain management; Experience with large-scale system implementations or transformations In today's challenging business environment of cost pressures, supply disruptions, and workforce shortages, it is crucial for providers to efficiently manage expenses and enhance performance.
