Role Overview: Success is yours when you collaborate and work hard in our team-based culture! Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager to join our dynamic team at Yale New Haven Hospital, York Street Campus. Yale New Haven Hospital is a non-profit, 1,541-bed acute and tertiary medical center receiving regional, national and international referrals. It provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary, family-focused care in more than 100 medical specialty areas and has ranked among the best by U.S. News & World Report in specialties such as diabetes and endocrinology; geriatrics; gynecology; pulmonology; ear, nose and throat; neurology and neurosurgery; and psychiatry. With two inpatient campuses in New Haven, Yale New Haven Hospital is the primary teaching hospital for Yale School of Medicine.   This Chef Manager is high-profile role that reports directly to the Executive Chef 4 and oversees a team of approximately 20 union frontline staff. We're looking for a hands-on culinary leader with a strong background in hospital and union environments (1199 union experience preferred). What You'll Do: Lead day-to-day food service operations with a focus on culinary excellence, food safety, and customer satisfactionSupervise, schedule, and support a unionized frontline team, including coaching, development, hiring, and disciplinary processesDesign and execute retail menus and promotional strategies that enhance customer experience and drive salesManage cash handling processes and maintain financial accountabilityEnsure full compliance with HACCP guidelines, Sodexo standards, and local/state regulatory requirementsProvide leadership for evening food production, tray line operations, sanitation, and facilities managementPartner with hospital leadership and maintain strong client and customer relationshipsPromote a safe, inclusive, and collaborative team culture What We Offer: Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience.
