We primarily service Northern New Jersey, Southern New York State, New York City, Connecticut, with a state-of-the-art rail served landfill located in Ohio. Our mission has always been to provide our customers with the highest quality waste, recycling and environmental services, while keeping focus on employee, customer and environmental safety.  What makes our company culture unique is we have mastered the ability to balance the standards of a large corporate company while maintaining our small business family style culture. IWS is looking for an experienced Customer Service CALL CENTER Representative for their Danbury location. PLEASE HAVE CALL CENTER or RECEPTIONIST EXPERIENCE with taking a high-volume amount of incoming phone calls from customers, and be computer savvy with intermediate Excel, Microsoft, and other applications experience. Monday thru Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM. $19.00 to $20.00 per hour. The position of Customer Service Representative is an opportunity for the right individual to join a growing customer service team. Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, the purpose of this position is to be the primary point of contact for existing and potential customers, as well as the liaison between other departments, including billing, operations, and sales. The right candidate will blend a sense of ownership with strong communication skills and a desire to deliver an exceptional customer experience. The position is based on a 40-hour work week.Receive and process incoming calls and emails from customersCollaborate with the billing, sales, and operations teams to deliver on customer expectationsIdentify and resolve customer service issues in a timely manner, including missed pick-ups and service-related issuesProvide service and pricing recommendations to new and existing customersManage difficult customer situations and respond promptly to service requests to meet customer commitmentsWork quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment in order to process customer requestsProcess orders in an accurate and timely manner, and demonstrate excellent follow through on assignments and inquiriesAble to deal with frequent changes in the work environment throughout company expansionAdditional duties as assigned1+ years of professional business experienceCollege degree a plusStrong technical/computer skills, including MSOffice products (Excel, Word, Outlook)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong customer focus; ability to provide superior customer service to internal and external customersAbility to work comfortably and professionally in a dynamic and collaborative environmentStrong organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet all deadlines with minimal supervision and strong attention to detailAbility to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, Saturdays, to meet business and workgroup needsBilingual a plusIWS's base pay actually offered takes into account a range of factors including, but not limited to, internal equity, the candidate's geographic region,  job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Bonus: This role is not bonus eligible. Benefits: IWS employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan.  Should an employee choose to participate, they can choose from a range of benefits to include, but is not limited to, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, paid vacation and holidays, as well as access to numerous voluntary benefits.  Any coverages for health insurance and retirement benefits will be in accordance This job description is intended to be an accurate representation of the general functions of the job, rather than exhaustive list of duties, responsibilities, or experience.
