Role Overview: We are currently seeking Lab Technologist IV, Technical Specialist with experience in Chemistry and Immunoassay testing.The Technologist IV, Technical Specialist is an expert technologist who demonstrates leadership and excellence in the assigned area of the Laboratory, functions as a team leader in specialty, and maintains technical expertise in all areas of Laboratory. Role Overview:Perform technical duties in laboratory sections as assigned.Act as resource to resolve equipment problems.Troubleshoot equipment problems by referring to vendor manual.Identify and resolve problems, escalating to next level when appropriate.Works with vendor technical support. Maintains troubleshooting log.Assure preventative maintenance and service is scheduled in a timely fashion.Manage equipment databases, ensuring Medical Equipment Database is up-to-date and complete.Oversee linearity and calibration verification.Review and perform routine and advanced equipment maintenance.Assist in selection of new equipment.Facilitate communication with staff about equipment (alerts staff ifequipment down, repair required, etc).Maintain complete, accurate, legible, neat, organized, up-to-date records/logs/files/databases.Create neat, accurate, well-formatted documents.Contribute to upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area.Provide direction, training, and feedback on routine laboratory procedures, as assigned.Trains other technologists in the area(s) they oversee.Oversees activities of assigned shift/area.
