Therefore, employees who work a full 12-hour shift will be paid their base rate for 8 hours AND overtime (1.5) for hours up to 12.Department:759101 Centralized Cardiac Monitoring UnitExpectations:The Monitoring Technician is responsible for monitoring patients' rhythm and heart rate, and reporting relevant changes in them to the assigned nursing staff. Monitoring up to 48 patients via telemetric equipment and will be accountable for appropriately responding to the alarms identifying potentially life-threatening rhythm changes.EDUCATION:High school diploma or GED. Completion of an approved arrhythmia or EKG interpretation class.EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:Completion of an approved arrhythmia or EKG interpretation class, knowledge of telemetry services, ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations. Prior telemonitoring experience preferred.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:Required:Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association must be obtained within 30 days of hire/transfer.Preferred:Current Advanced Cardiology Life Support Provider (ACLS) issued by American Heart AssociationNational Telemetry Certification issued by National Telemetry Association (NTA).SKILLS:Must pass pre-employment arrhythmia test administered at Huntington Hospital.Worker Type:Per DiemPart timeShift:Nights
