If your goals and values align with Honda's, we want you to join our team to Bring the Future!Job PurposeAs a Governance Risk Compliance & Ethics (GRC&E) professional, this position is responsible for strengthening the governance risk compliance and ethics culture in the North American Region (NAR) to support ethical decision making. Providing compliance and ethics services with the highest integrity to our associates, leaders, and business partners across the NAR. Proactively advocate the integration of ethical organizational practices and a commitment to compliance in all aspects of the business This includes thorough knowledge of the Honda Code of Conduct and the North American Region GRC&E policies with the ability to advise, teach, inform and apply policies to practical work situations. Key AccountabilitiesCommunication/Training/PolicyLead development of new and innovative initiatives and activities for the NAR GRC&E communication strategy. Design, develop and obtain approval for communication materials based on best practices and trends analysis data.Lead development/delivery of effective training and communication for the NAR on GRC&E topics - Antitrust, Anti-Corruption, Conflict of Interest, Code of Conduct, Integrity training, etc. Develop NAR GRC&E training strategy (broad audience - leader and associate across all business segments - must ensure target/risk areas).Monitor risk assessments to ensure communication and training activities are linked to company and program risks.Responsible for ensuring all materials are updated related to policies, procedures, and training and available to associates both electronic and printed. Stay up to date with changes in regulations and industry best practises related to compliance and ethics.Support activities with external stakeholders, including regulators and auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Collaborate with leaders and associates at all levels in NAR in an approachable and confidential manner to listen to their questions, concerns and then determine appropriate steps for GRC&E resolution. Systems/ToolsResponsible for systems and process development of GRC&E required reporting and tracking.Prepare detailed reports and presentations (monthly, quarterly, yearly, and special requests).Manage/monitor, track, and report annual Board Disclosure activity.Manage/Support phone line system/structure for NAR.Manage/Support electronic issue submission process/system.Design, manage and update the NAR GRC&E website for continuous improvement as industry standards, regulations, and best practices change and evolve.Key Accountabilities (Continued)Business Planning/Budget/Manpower ControllerLead in the development and creation of the business plan including plan versus actual and gap analysis.Develop and implement comprehensive business plans to achieve organizational goals.Collaborate with Leadership to align business plans goals with company vision and objectives.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the business plan, adjusting as necessary.Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.Monitor budget performance, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.Develop and manage workforce plans to meet organizational needs.Monitor and control labor costs to stay within budget.Issue/Inquiry ManagementCollaborate with leaders and associates at all levels in NAR in an approachable and confidential manner to listen to their questions, concerns and then determine appropriate steps for GRC&E resolution. Investigate allegations of unethical activity while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring appropriate resolution to the matter that aligns with company policy and the law. Evaluate countermeasures to eliminate future misconduct. Provide accurate and proactive guidance to reduce risk (legal risk, reputational risk, etc.)Manage GRC&E calls, electronic issue submissions and the NA Region 1-800 lineProvide support and guidance to GRC&E Secretariats and Compliance Officers at Genpos in North America that are not core to the regional shared services model HTA, HTC, HFCU, HRI, HISV, HCM, HDM, CH, HCFI, HTMX) as needed. Provide support to the NAR GRC&E Secretariat and Compliance Officer as needed. Qualifications, Experience, and SkillsBachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field5+ years of related experience or equivalent demonstrated through or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education or policy management, business planning, budgeting, manpower management.Technical knowledge consisting of common operating systems, data analysis, Microsoft Teams environmentMaintain exemplary standards of personal and professional integrityWorking ConditionsTravel may be required periodicallyOT as necessary What differentiates Honda and make us an employer of choice?
