Position TitleLitigation Attorney - Captive Firm PartnerSummaryOur client is seeking an experienced litigator to serve as the principal of a captive law firm that works exclusively with our team. You do not need to currently own a firm, but you must be open to creating one to support this role. This is a rare opportunity to lead high-stakes litigation, manage a team, and build a legal practice with full support and alignment from the firm. Confidential company details will be shared during the interview process.Salary$150,000 to $250,000 base salary, plus discretionary bonus. Overhead expenses, including benefits and administrative costs, will be reimbursed under a retention agreement.Job ResponsibilitiesActively litigate tax appeal cases, primarily before the Missouri State Tax Commission and local counties. Lead and manage a team of litigators handling related matters. Build and operate a captive law firm dedicated to supporting the firm's legal needs. Collaborate closely with the team while maintaining independent firm operations.QualificationsLicensed to practice law in Missouri. Significant litigation experience, ideally with tax appeals or administrative law. Strong leadership and team management skills. Willingness and ability to create and run a captive firm structure.Preferred AttributesExperience managing or launching a legal practice. Familiarity with Missouri property tax or state administrative appeals.
