At Vrakas, we're not just filling a position; we're crafting a one-of-a-kind career opportunity tailored to your needs.The responsibilities, opportunities, and qualifications for this position are as follows:Responsibilities & OpportunitiesLead and mentor associates as they complete audits and reviewsAssist in the management and development of associates through the execution of assurance tasksReview other team members' work and provide valuable feedbackBuild technical skills while working across various industriesRegularly collaborate with shareholders, managers, and other internal leadersUnderstand the firm's lines of service to provide a holistic service plan to each clientManage the engagement team on-site at client locationsWork directly with controllers, CFOs, and business owners to ensure assurance engagements are completed within a predetermined timeframeParticipate in various training and CPE programs to ensure professional developmentTravel is expected, as needed, to meet firm and client needsQualificationsRequired Qualifications 3+ years of experience providing assurance services in public accountingA bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or a related fieldMust possess the necessary credit hours to be eligible for CPA licensureStrong understanding of accounting principles and regulationsExperience with Microsoft 365 with a strong understanding of Excel and WordAbility to address requests from clients and the firm in a timely, precise, and professional mannerAbility to foster client relationships across various industriesStrong problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skillsEffective in both independent work and team collaborationAbility to consistently perform services with integrity, reliability, and accuracyPreferred Qualifications CPA designation1+ years of proven supervisory or mentor experienceManufacturing, construction, distribution, real estate, or other related industry experiencePassion for being a technical resource for team membersStrong project management skills and a desire to drive process improvementKnowledge of Microsoft Teams and ZoomCCH accounting software experience, including Workflow, Engagement, and Practice Management*Candidates with CPA credentials will be given additional consideration for this position.
