Earthwork Foreman

Position OverviewThe Earthwork Foreman oversees and manages all earthwork operations, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and to specifications. This role requires strong leadership and project management skills to coordinate teams and equipment effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate earthwork operations and personnel on-site.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies during all phases of work.Oversee site preparation activities, including grading and excavation.Manage heavy equipment operation and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.Implement soil compaction techniques to meet project specifications.Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets required standards.Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to execute tasks accurately.Provide leadership and direction to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.Effectively communicate project progress and issues to management and stakeholders.Utilize problem-solving skills to address and resolve on-site challenges promptly.Manage project timelines and allocate resources efficiently.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in construction management is a plus.Proven experience in earthwork operations and heavy equipment operation.Strong knowledge of site preparation, grading, and excavation processes.Experience in safety management and quality control practices.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage team dynamics.Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision401K with MatchGenerous PTOEmail Your Resume In Word ToLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
