The University of Miami Health System, Miller School of Medicine is initiating a search for a General Pediatrician in the Division Child and Adolescent Health.Essential Job Functions:Serve as the Primary Care provider for a panel of patientsSupervise pediatric residents in PAC practiceDevelop and build a pediatric practiceStay current with general pediatric literatureParticipate in the academic mission of the Department of PediatricsPublish at least once a year (journal, Miami Herald, other newspapers, abstract, posterMentor residents in presenting (staff conference, paper, abstract, poster)Potentially develop complete and publish, clinical research projectDevelop and/or participate in QI projectsNight call commensurate with the others in the divisionHelp interview potential resident candidatesMarketing opportunities as determined by the division directorAny other duties, clinical or administrative as necessary to support the division.Other possible opportunities include:Clinical research within the clinical workGrant application for funded researchUniversity or Medical School or Departmental Committee workDesired Qualifications:MD/DO Degree RequiredCompletion of US Pediatric ResidencyBE/BC in PediatricsValid Florida medical license prior to startMaintain valid DEA licenseSpanish speaking, preferred#DOX-2#LI-MV2
