We’re hiring a Senior Low-Voltage Engineer. This is a brand new role, designed for someone ready to take the lead and shape it into something uniquely theirs. You’ll be responsible for all aspects of a project, from initial design through construction close-out, working with minimal supervision. But beyond technical execution, you’ll also partner with our Marketing team, helping demonstrate the value of our solutions and playing a key role in business development.This is an opportunity to blend engineering excellence with strategic impact — and to define what success in this role looks like.Key Responsibilities: Lead the design of low-voltage systems (i.e., Voice/Data Cable Infrastructure, CATV, Security, Access Controls, Telecommunication and Wireless systems, and other specialty Low-Voltage systems).Serve as a technical resource throughout all project phases – providing expert guidance during bidding, design development, permitting, and construction to ensure seamless execution and alignment with project goals.Design systems that are code-compliant, contract-compliant, and cost-effective by thoroughly reviewing scopes of work, project specifications, drawings, and legal contracts to ensure alignment with project requirements and industry standards.Mentor and provide strategic guidance to junior and mid-level team members, fostering their technical growth and professional development. Facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and leadership opportunities across the team.Help resolve workflow issues, and address project bottlenecks.Conduct site visits and field investigations to validate design implementation and address on-site challenges as they arise.Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals, ensuring long-term client satisfaction.Exhibit leadership and management capabilities, ensuring successful team collaboration and project execution.Contribute to the strategic direction of the Low-Voltage department and the company. Provide feedback on improving processes, standards, and methodologies to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.Take personal ownership of the work produced.Required Qualifications:Completion of vocational school, military technical training, college degree, or equivalent field experience in low-voltage design, with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in low-voltage system design preferred.Certification in one of the following areas:BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist – Design (CTS-D)ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP)NICET fire alarm level 3 or 4Extensive proven relevant technical, leadership, and field experience.Proven leadership experience managing complex, large-scale projects, with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.Experience working in a professional A/E office, Consulting Firm, Construction Contractor, or equivalent.Proficiency in Microsoft Office , Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and other design-related software.Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams, clients, and external stakeholders.Proven ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously, including managing timelines, budgets, and resources, with a focus on achieving client satisfaction and high-quality outcomes.Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, with occasional bending and the capacity to lift up to 10 lbs. as needed.Willingness and ability to travel as needed for project meetings, site visits, or client engagements.Note: This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the role, general nature, and level of work performed.
